Hypergolic Maintenance and Checkout Facility

The Hypergolic Maintenance and Checkout Facility consists of three buildings in an isolated section of the KSC industrial area approximately eight miles southeast of the Vehicle Assembly Building.

This area provides all facilities required to process and store the hypergolic-fueled modules that make up the orbiter's reaction control system, orbital maneuvering system and auxiliary power units.
